Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Trip: April 2013

During the month of April, my mom and I drove from Indianapolis to Pittsburgh to visit my brother for 3 days. As he took us to some of his favorite spots for shopping, eating, and site seeing. We stopped at this Frank Lloyd Wright house called Falling Water

As well we saw the movie “Admission” staring Tiny Fey and Lily Tomlin in this really cool old movie theater that had been upgraded to modern technology. and the rest of the time we lounged around his house. The last day, his wife, my sister-in-law came home so got to visit with her for a short time, and had a great dinner.
As we enter Pittsburgh (as well as we exit) we have to go through a couple tunnels. One of them is called the “Fort Pitt Tunnel” which is made famous in the 2012 indie movie “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” staring Emma Watson (If you watch the tunnel scene in the movie and the video I took below you will see much of the same, as we went through the same tunnel as the film crew did in filming that scene)
As much of the movie “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” were filmed in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
